Pacman Wins.

A bunch of keen creatives from Cornwall got to hang out with word wizard Ross Sutherland last night and listen to his lecture on how being creative is a bit like playing videogames.

The central thrust? Use rules to breed creativity not constrain it. Build writing like videogames to interact with your audience. Keep on playing. Always.

Inspiring words from a very talented man. Everyone who came along to the talk left inspired. Just how it should be.

One of The Times’ Top Ten Literary Stars of the Year, word wizard, gaming enthusiast and creative genius Ross Sutherland is hitting Falmouth on the 9 June, offering an exclusive insight into his mind, his work and his creative process.

It’s a chance to question creativity and how it works, fire your own imagination in a different way and leave inspired.

30 minutes of Ross’ chat followed by 30 minutes of Q&A , for a whole new outlook on what being creative means? Sound good to us.

If you’re up for taking a fresh look at creativity, come down to The Rum Bar, above Nancy’s in Falmouth (TR11 3PN) 6.30pm, on 9 June and be prepared to laugh, learn and game.
